we are dedicated to providing exceptional legal representation, and our fees reflect the value and quality of our services. The cost for our services varies depending on your legal needs and the complexity of your case. Prior to quoting fees for document preparation and other work, we conduct an initial office consultation to determine the scope of work, the difficulty of the issues involved, and the number of hours needed to meet your goals. We also offer in-home and emergency visits. The following chart illustrates the fee ranges for a few of our services to give you an idea of estimated legal costs:
LEGAL SERVICES
FEE RANGE*
Initial Office Consultation No charge
Asset Protection Planning including consultations with clients and family, research and review of assets and family situation, medical coverage review, and comprehensive planning report with recommendations
$2,500-$3,500
Basic Estate Planning Documents including Will with Testamentary Trust, Durable Power of Attorney, Health Care Proxy, and Advanced Directives
$1,000 for Individuals
$1,500 for Couples
Real Estate: Deed & Homestead $300
Living or Revocable Trust $2,000-$3,500
Special Needs Trusts $3,000-$5,000
Long-Term Care Medicaid Applications $6,000-$15,000
Community Medicaid Application $2,000-$3,500
* Filing and recording fees not included.
The initial consultation includes a summary letter with recommended legal services and the associated fees. The fee arrangements may vary from the examples above depending on the type of legal services you need. For many of our cases, particularly document preparation or Medicaid applications, we charge a flat fee for a specific scope of services performed. Any additional services or complex situations requiring extra time may increase the flat fee or be billed at an hourly rate as needed. Social Security cases generally are handled on a contingency fee.
Choosing an experienced attorney, with the expertise to meet all of your legal planning and asset protection goals, is an important decision, and it should be based on more than the fees charged. Although expert legal advice may cost more initially, the services pay for themselves by reducing administrative fees, eliminating probate, protecting public benefits, lowering taxes, securing assets, and providing peace-of-mind.
